Our Bakery

Meunier Bakery is a home-based bakery owned and operated by Tery Biram. Meunier (pronounced men-yeah) is french for flour miller and happens to be Tery's mum's maiden name. Making artisan breads and pastries has been Tery's dream since high-school. His products are made with locally sourced, freshly milled organic flour. His signature premium sourdough bread takes two days to make and only contains three ingredients; organic flour - water - salt. Tery's bread formula and starter have been carefully crafted to provide a rich flavour. Each loaf is made by hand.

We truly believe sharing a humble loaf of bread brings friends and family closer together.

 

Meunier Bakery is a wholesale bakery delivering to Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast. Our operations are small scale at the moment, selling to friends and family, until our baby boy undergoes and recovers from surgery.

Our freshly-milled organic flour

Turn, turn pretty mill - a line from our son's favourite french nursery rhyme. Like freshly ground coffee beans, freshly-milled organic wheat berries takes the flavour of sourdough bread to the next level. Our flour is stone ground to capture the full nutrition of each wheat berry.

In Australia, it is mandatory for wheat flour to be fortified with folic acid and thiamine; however long term consumption of folic acid may have negative health outcomes. Our freshly-milled organic flour does not include these additives and is exempt from this requirement.
